Task Force to host Resource Fair and Expo
The Lowcountry Human Trafficking Task Force will host a resource fair and expo at 10 a.m. April 29, 2024, at the Hardeeville Recreation Center on John Smith Road.
This event is open to the public, particularly for those interested in learning more about anti-human trafficking efforts. Anyone who provides services directly or indirectly to human trafficking victims is invited to attend.
Victim service providers, governmental agencies, nonprofits, healthcare providers, faith-based and/or philanthropic organizations are encouraged to participate. Bring your literature and information to hand out and help educate others about what your business, agency, or organization does to assist those affected by human trafficking.
“This is an opportunity to collaborate and coordinate with each other in the fight against human trafficking,” said Capt. JoJo Woodward of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and task force co-chair. “We all want to help, and this is a good way to collaborate with each other.”
Be sure to bring information about volunteer opportunities.
Tables and chairs will be available to participants.
